The 40 th Asia Pacific Dental
Congress 2018 (APDC) was
held concurrently with the 109 th
Philippine Dental Association
(PDA) Annual Convention and
Scientic Sessions at the SMX Convention
Centre in Manila on 7 th - 11 th May 2018.
With the theme, “Intensifying
Professionalism in Synergy with Dental
Science and Technology”, APDC
was a highly anticipated event that
included 32 lecturers streaming from
Asia, Europe and the U.S. together
with 37 lecturers from the Philippines.
APDC did not disappoint the
attendees, who were approximately
14,000 delegates, with the
40 th Asia Pacific Dental Congress 2018:
“Intensifying Professionalism in Synergy
with Dental Science and Technology”

jam-packed daily lectures and handson
workshops that were held in five
function rooms and ten meeting rooms.
Additionally, local and international
manufacturers and suppliers were present
in the event to display the latest innovations
a n d t e c h n o l o g i e s – s u c h a s C A D / C A M ,
3D printing, laser and implants.

well as Mr. Martin Rolfe, Area

at the Dental Domain, Philippine

the busy halls of the event.

“Overall, compared to previous years,
APDC 2018 was organised and a well
thought event having around 14,000
delegates in attendance. It is good to see
regional players in the dental industry
that are not usually represented here in
the Philippines but they are here because
of APDC. There are a lot of excellent
international speakers and the Philippine
speakers are well represented as well,”

APDC 2018 was denitely a success and
participants are looking forward to what
