Mectron
New Perio Anatomic Inserts for Full Mouth Periodontal Treatment
Since 1979, Mectron has actively and successfully developed and produced top-quality devices. In fact, the
company was responsible for some of the most important innovations in dentistry, especially the first ultrasonic
titanium handpieces, the first LED curing lamps and the first ultrasonic surgical unit for piezoelectric surgery.
Recently, Mectron launched its three
new ultrasonic inserts – P15, P16R and P16L
– which are specically designed to perform
gentle and safe periodontal debridement.
Why use Mectron’s new ultrasonic inserts?
With its unique shape, the inserts allow for
optimal access into difficult-to-reach areas
and deep periodontal pockets – furcations,
root surfaces and concavities. The inserts are
gentle on soft tissue, which helps in tissue
preservation and tissue attachment formation.
Thanks to its oxygen delivery system, the
cavitation eect provides mechanical biolm
disruption, bacteria dispersion and periodontal
pocket detoxication.
Taking a closer look
P15: Universal curette for supra and
subgingival treatment. It is recommended
for deep periodontal pocket debridement
and provides easy access to canine and
anterior teeth, while replacing manual
curettes n° 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8.
P16R – P16L: Right (P16R) and left
(P16L) angled periodontal curettes for
subgingival concrements and biofilm
removal from furcations and deep pockets.
It is recommended for supra and subgingival
interproximal spaces and for ecient root
planing on molars and premolars. These
replaces manual curettes n° 11-12, 13-14,
15-16, 17-18.
GC ASIA
Combining Precision, Ergonomics and Economy
The new Aadva IOS 100 intraoral scanner from GC has evolved to develop a faster, less obtrusive, more accurate
and predictable replacement for conventional impressions.
In the current digital age, everyday work
in the dental oce should ow as smoothly
as possible, with high accuracy, eciency and
fast communication channels. Especially when
it comes to laboratory-made restorations, all
parties concerned should benefit from the
technological process – the dentist, dental
team, dental technician and of course, the
minutes, which can then be directly forwarded
to the laboratory via the cloud.
The Aadva IOS 100 modern, robust cart
design features a built-in computer and
adjustable touch screen to meet all ergonomic
needs for any treatment in any position.
Its handpiece is one of the smallest
a n d l i g h t e s t a v a i l a b l e i n t h e m a r k e t ,
providing real time scanning
with no ongoing
calibration
requirements.
It does not
require any powder
spray prior to scanning,
which increases patient comfort.
Graphics User Interface, the Aadva IOS 100
makes for a quick and easy scanning process.
Designed as an open system with two
USB ports, the Aadva IOS 100 allows dentists
to save STL les from the unit to a USB stick
to transmit them to the dental technician in
their preferred way – providing full control
a t t h e d e n t i s t ’ s h a n d s . T h e m u l t i t a s k ,
cloud-based Digital Services Platform allows
all les to be stored virtually and facilitates
speed of communication
between the practice and the
laboratory with the option
to discuss the digital patient
model and available prosthetic
options online. In addition, the
Digital Services Platform
oers training programmes
and technical services
online. With appropriate
training, the scanning process
