the Church Secretary
I am happy that the 2 nd National Youth Conference
is being held at CHAI Training Center, Kompally,
by our CSI Malayalam Pastorate Youth in Hyderabad
from the 25 th to the 27 th of Oct, 2019.
Investing God’s Word in the lives of today's youth has become a
matter of great importance for the healthy growth of the body of
Christ. Teaching young people in churches to grow in their understanding and
relationship with their Saviour, prepares them to be Christ’s disciples all their lives.
is will result in the church becoming true witnesses of our Lord Jesus.
Mentoring young people is an absolute necessity as it prepares them to become future leaders. is is seen many
times in the Bible, as God often used young people to work in the extension of his kingdom. For example, God
used Timothy to pastor and lead the church at Ephesus when he was merely a young lad. 1 Timothy 4:12 says,
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct,
in love, in faith and in purity.”
Staying committed to Christ and Christian values is a challenge in these last days. It is important for the truth of
the gospel to be passed down from one generation to another generation in order for the body of Christ to thrive.
Helping the youth to grow spiritually from their formative and impressionable years will equip them to make an
impact in the lives of other people for Christ both now and in their future. e Conference aims at challenging
and encouraging our precious youth to be deep rooted in God’s Word so that they would not be deceived by any
other false ways of the world.
It is my sincere prayer that we would have many more opportunities like this to inspire and encourage each other.
