similar in their effects and quality when compared with other
products. We benefited from this in our export operations
during the first 10-month period. There has been an increase
of approximately 50% in the said product categories when
compared with the same period of the last year. This period
transformed the customers’ shopping habits and priorities both
in our country and the rest of the world. I expect new products
to be added to PL-branded products in 2021 and I believe the
demand for such products will keep increasing.”
LOCAL SUPPLIERS WILL COME INTO PROMINENCE
Konca also stated that each sector had novel experiences of
their own in the supply chain management area, a subject which
everyone learned new things about as they went and came up
with new perspectives as a result. He said: “The export-related
problems we faced during this period along with the increasing
logistics costs reminded manufacturers of the necessity to work
with more than one supplier. This necessity brought dynamism
and diversity to the sector. In short, supply chain management
has become something to be revised and reorganized during and
after the pandemic period. The countries and manufacturers
will choose to procure their needs from suppliers that are closer,
easier to access, and more sustainable even if it means they will
have to bear some additional costs. Local suppliers will come
into prominence and their sectoral partnerships will improve.
The trust that our customers have for our brand thanks to our
country’s geographical location and its logistical advantage
will help our company come to the fore in the areas of product
diversity, service speed, and time, all of which will lead us to
become a prominent choice both as a supplier and an expert in
process management.

OLUMLU YANSIDI
Global olarak bakıldığında pandemi sürecinin tüm dünyada
yaşanan küçülme ve bazı ürün gruplarında adetsel ve miktarsal
kayıplara neden olduğunu ifade eden Konca, bu dönemde
ülkemizde ve dünyada medikal, hijyen ve temizlik ürünlerine
artan talebin tüketicinin kullanım kolaylığını arttıran ürün
formül değişikliklerinin verdiği dinamizmin diğer ürün
gruplarında yaşanan kaybı büyük ölçüde telafi ettiğini sözlerine
ekledi.
Konca, şöyle dedi: “Sektörümüzün dönemsel amiral gemileri
olan sabun, kolonya ve dezenfektanlarda benzer etki ve kaliteye
sahip alternatif private label (PL) markalı ürünlere olan ilgi arttı.
Bunun etkisini ilk 10 aylık dönemde ihracatımızda da gördük.
Söz konusu ürün kategorilerinde %50 oranına yakın geçen
yılın aynı dönemine göre artış yaşandı. Bu süreç ülkemizde ve
dünyada alışveriş alışkanlıklarını ve önceliklerini değiştirdi.
2021 yılında da PL markalı ürünlere yenilerinin ekleneceğini ve
ilginin artarak devam edeceğini öngörüyorum.”
LOKAL TEDARİKÇİLER ÖNEM KAZANACAK
Tedarik zinciri yönetimi alanında ise her sektörde yeni
tecrübeler yaşandığını dile getiren Genel Müdür Yardımcısı
Bülent Konca, sürecin yaşanarak öğrenildiğini ve yeni bakış
açıları geliştirilmesine neden olduğunu söyledi. Konca şöyle
konuştu: “Tüm bu süreçte yaşanan ithalat sorunları ve artan
lojistik maliyetler her üreticiye tek bir tedarikçiye bağlı kalmama
zorunluluğunu hatırlattı. Bu zorunluluk, sektöre dinamizm ve
çeşitlilik getirdi. Kısacası pandemi süreci ve sonrasında tedarik
zinciri yönetimi, tekrar gözden geçirilerek düzenlenecek hale
geldi.
