Turkish auto aftermarket industry gears up<br />
for investment in 3rd quarter<br />
The rise of the automotive aftermarket in<br />
the first quarter of the year continued in<br />
the second quarter. The positive trend in<br />
employment, along with the increase in<br />
domestic sales and exports in the second<br />
quarter of the year, also stimulated the<br />
investment plans of the third quarter.<br />
According to the “Second Quarter<br />
<strong>2021</strong> Sectoral Evaluation” survey of the<br />
<strong>Automotive</strong> After Sales Products and<br />
Services Association (OSS); It has been<br />
revealed that nearly half of the participants<br />
are planning to invest in the third quarter.<br />
This rate had decreased to 38 percent in<br />
the previous survey. In the second quarter<br />
of the year, there was a remarkable<br />
increase in the problems experienced in<br />
the sector. In the first quarter of this year,<br />
the “volatility in exchange rates” was<br />
the leading problem in the sector, while<br />
“supply problems” appeared to be on the<br />
rise in the second quarter. While the rate<br />
of those experiencing supply problems<br />
was approximately 73 percent in the first<br />
quarter of the year, this rate rose to 82,5<br />
percent in the second quarter of the year.<br />
