Hand tool manufacturer Wiha presents the new
speedE ® II electric screwdriver. Faster, stronger and
more versatile in design, the new generation of the
electric screwdriver now promises even more advantages
in use.
The Wiha speedE ® II has two material protection levels
of 0.4 Nm and 1 Nm, which opens up a new range of
applications. Thanks to its voltage-safe slimBit change
system (up to 1,000 V AC), the ‚Made in Germany‘
novelty offers offers users maximum safety, flexibility
and freedom of choice in everyday professional life.
Its worldwide unique mode of operation is characterised
by intuitive and simple operability: First, screwing is
done automatically 3 times as fast as with a conventional
screwdriver, then the material protection stop kicks in.
Particularly in the case of sensitive screwdriving, where
the screwdriver has to be used sensitively, excessive
force transmission can quickly lead to material damage.
Therefore, the 0.4 Nm power level should be selected in
these applications.
With the shift position to the 1.0 Nm level, speedE
speedE ® II can now also be used in combination with the
yellow Power slimBits as a tool for screwdriving tasks
with higher tasks requiring more force, e.g. for screwing
larger threaded of larger threaded screws, for example.
Finally, the screw can be sensitively tightened manually
in both material protection levels.
The ring switch makes it easy to operate in all working
positions. A ring LED light illuminates the working area
to the maximum, which further simplifies the user‘s
work and prevents shadows from forming on the workpiece.
The red and yellow slimBits are all individually
tested at 10,000 V AC, approved up to 1,000 V AC and,
with their signal colour, serve as an aid to selecting the
correct force level. For sensitive, more delicate screw
connections, small screw profiles are usually used. The
matching slimBits show the user with their red colour
that he should set the material protection level to the
red, 0.4 Nm level for this application. For stronger screw
connections with larger profiles, the yellow colour of the
corresponding slimBits shows that the slider can also be
set to yellow and thus to a strong 1.0 Nm.
Professionals who often use screwdrivers continuously
are relieved of a great deal of strain and muscle stress
by using the ergonomically designed speedE ® II, as the
strength-sapping screwing process by hand is no longer
necessary. Muscles and tendons in the hands, arms and
the entire musculoskeletal system are less strained,
which leads to a noticeable improvement in health
for users in many professions who use conventional
screwdriving tools on a daily basis. This is why it is also
recommended by German doctors and physiotherapists
of the AGR.
In terms of size and weight, the speedE ® II is comparable
to conventional screwdrivers, which makes it the
ideal companion for mobile applications. The ‚Made in
Germany‘ label underlines that the highest standards
are also set in terms of robustness and quality.
In addition to the e-screwdriver itself, the speedE ® II
set includes one red and one yellow slimBit, two standard
18500 batteries, a matching USB charger and an
L-Boxx Mini. Other accessories, such as the easyTorque
torque adapters, slimBit boxes, bags or, for example,
a matching power supply unit for the USB charger are
available separately.
The Wiha speedE ® II electric is the latest member of
the now 96-piece ElectricVario Family from Wiha, which
combines all screwdriving tools, slimBits, ¼“ hexagon
sockets, adapters and more in order to optimally cover
all screwdriving tasks with multiple combination options.
