FIVE awards! We have
interviewed the winners:

Why was it important for you to
enter the Global Creative Awards?
I found it allowed me to expand my
horizons through learning from
different stylists and it was a good
platform for all of us to learn from
each other globally.
Do you think it’s important to
enter international competitions
like this?
Yes, I do. I promise myself to always
try and be the best I can. Also, it
allows more hair professionals to
create, to challenge themselves and
to express what ‘hair’ really means.
How did you feel about this being
a virtual experience?
‘Virtual’ has been the only way to
keep things happening. I felt great,
but if it had been a live event, that
would have been perfect.
What was the inspiration behind
the images in your collection?
It was based on the time being
affected by Covid. Everything has a
cycle we just need to embrace the
present and be patient for the great
times ahead.
Are there any friends or colleagues
that you’d like to thank for helping
support you on this journey?
I would like to thank Goldwell, my
family, my photographer Kenneth
and M PLUS salon for supporting
and helping me with ideas
throughout this journey.

What do the Global Creative
Awards mean to you and how do
you felt about winning an award?
This has been an amazing
opportunity to gain some great
recognition for my work as a hair
professional and colourist. When
I heard my name called out at the
awards ceremony, I felt so happy
and excited!
Why do you think international
competitions are important?
Yes, because you can gain
international recognition, be known
by more people and gain more
professional knowledge from being
part of it.
Explain a bit more about your
winning collection and your
inspiration behind it.
Once I saw a picture of a fruit
vendor. The colour combinations on
his stall in the picture gave me an
incredible sensation, so I decided to
include those colours in my work.
What would you say to anyone
thinking of entering in the future?
I hope more people participate and
