Sürdürülebilir yaşam ve doğal çevre
Dünyanın pek çok ülkesinde ortak olan çevre sorunlarının temelinde ekonomi ve ekoloji
arasındaki dengesizlik yatmaktadır. İnsanoğlu bir yandan hızla gelişen bilim teknoloji
ve sanayi ile doğaya hakim olup, ekonomik açıdan yaşam düzeyini yükseltirken
diğer yandan da doğayı yok etmektedir. Tüketim ihtiyacının arttığı, taleplerin değiştiği
günümüzde çevre ve doğal kaynaklar üzerindeki etki de artmaktadır. Artan nüfus ve
buna bağlı olarak artan tüketim ihtiyacı da bu değişikliği hızlandırmaktadır. Dünyamızda
kaynaklar hızla tükenmektedir. Çevre sorunlarının tüm dünya genelini etkilemeye
başlaması ile birlikte, sorunun temel kaynağı olan insanın çevreye karşı tutumu ve bilincinin
geliştirilmesinin bu sorunların çözümünde ve çevrenin sürdürülebilirliğinde odak
noktası olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Çevreyi oluşturan öğeler arasındaki ilişki ve etkileşimleri
anlamadan çevreyi ve çevre sorunlarını kavramak, çevreyi korumak ve bu sorunlara
çözüm üretmek olası değildir. Bu nedenle, önce çevreyi oluşturan öğeler arasındaki
karşılıklı ilişkilerin ve bunların oluşturduğu doğal sistemlerin kavranması gerekir.

Son yıllarda dünyada yaşanan iklimsel ve çevreyle ilgili değişimlerin etkileri ve nedenleri
birçok kavramla birlikte sürdürülebilirlik kavramının da görünürlüğünü arttırmıştır.
Günümüzde sürdürülebilirlik, çevre dengesi ile ekonomik büyümeyi birlikte alan, hem
doğal kaynakların etkin kullanımını sağlayan, hem de gelecek kuşakların kendi ihtiyaçlarını
tehlikeye sokmaksızın bugünkü ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilen bir model olarak karşımızda
durmaktadır. Doğal olarak bu yeni dönemde sürdürülebilirlik, şirketler için birçok
risk ve fırsatı da beraberinde getirmektedir. Ancak bu risk ve fırsatları iyi belirleyerek,
operasyonlarını ürün ve hizmetlerini buna göre yeniden düzenleyen şirketler, gelecekte
rakiplerine göre rekabet avantajı oluşturacaklardır. Doğal çevre, canlı ve cansız tüm
varlıkların üzerinde yaşadığı, birbiriyle etkileşim içinde olduğu, üretim ve tüketim faaliyetlerinin
yapıldığı bir sistemdir. Bu çevreyi korumak da hepimize düşmektedir.
Sustainable life and natural environment
The imbalance between economy and ecology lies at the root of environmental
problems that are common in many countries of the world. While mankind dominates
nature with rapidly developing science, technology and industry, and raises the
standard of living economically, on the other hand, it is destroying nature. In today’s
world, where consumption needs increase and demands change, the impact on
the environment and natural resources is also increasing. Increasing population and
accordingly increasing consumption need accelerate this change. Resources are
running out fast in our world. With the environmental problems starting to affect the
whole world, it has been understood that the attitude and awareness of the human
being towards the environment that are the main sources of the problem are the focal
point in the solution of these problems and the sustainability of the environment.
It is not possible to understand the environment and environmental problems, to protect
the environment and to find solutions to these problems without understanding
the relationships and interactions between the elements that make up the environment.
For this reason, it is necessary to know firstly the interrelationships between the
elements that make up the environment and the natural systems they form.
In recent years, the effects and causes of climatic and environmental changes in
the world have increased the visibility of the concept of sustainability along with
many other concepts. Today, sustainability stands before us as a model that takes
environmental balance and economic growth together, ensures the effective use
of natural resources, and can meet the current needs of future generations without
compromising their own needs. Naturally, in this new era, sustainability brings with it
many risks and opportunities for companies. But, companies that determine these
risks and opportunities well and reorganize their products and services accordingly
will make a competitive advantage over their competitors in the future. The natural
environment is a system, on which all existences that are living and non-living things
interact with each other, and where production and consumption activities are
carried out. It is our responsibility to protect this environment.
