Imperial eggs as they were called had
been designed for the Tsars. At the
outbreak of the Russian revolution in
1918 the eggs designed for that year
were not delivered. The Faberge family
fled Russia. The Faberge name was
revived in Paris during the 1940s and
the eggs associated with luxury and
creative design were revived and are
again considered one of the rarities of
trinkets for the wealthy. One of the last
of the Imperial eggs was sold at auction
two years ago for $33 million dollars.

trends and characters such as colored
eggs, chocolate eggs, Peter Rabbit,
and the numerous Easter egg hunts
sponsored by various churches,
community organizations, and even

egg hunting, or appreciating the
sunshine of the spring weather.
