2000 CONSOLIDATED FIANCIAL STATEMENTS ACCORDING TO IAS
The net trading result is comprised of the results of trading portfolio activities and is based on
a mark to market valuation. Listed products are valued by applying the quoted rate at the balance
sheet date and for non-listed products the fair values are determined according to the present
value method or using suitable options pricing models. All realised and unrealised gains are reported
in the Income Statement under the net trading result. Also included in this item are interest
and dividend income stemming from the trading portfolio and the incurred funding interest.
