Keys To Equality Talia Keys’ “We’re Here” is a Call-to-Action Song By John Stein Talia Keys’ “We’re Here” is a powerful song with a unique sound that combines Reggae, Soul and Funk with a political message reminiscent of late greats Nina Simone and Bob Marley. It calls for today’s queer generation to be loud and proud in who they are and to own their label because by simply existing, they are changing the world into a better place. Written and produced by Keys, the song is available on Apple Music, Spotify and all digital platforms and its music video is now on YouTube. We spoke with Talia Keys from her home in Utah. Talia Keys by Stefan Poulos What inspired you to write “We’re Here”? Talia Keys: I grew up in Utah, going to catholic school and surrounded by Mormons who devalue the existence of the LGBTQ community.
