THE DETAIL OUTDOOR TRADE SHOW FACTS & FIGURES 125 Exhibitors took part 2,000sqm Additional floorspace compared to last year A ■fter a disruptive period of venue changes and then the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK’s Outdoor Trade Show now seems settled on the historic city of Liverpool as its home and dates in June as its best position in the calendar. The modern and well-equipped Exhibition Centre Liverpool once again played host to this important trade event, which attracted more than 120 exhibitors to its floor from the sports, outdoor goods and camping industries. The show actually increased its floorspace by around 2,000sqm this year, and of particular interest to Camping Trade World was the new outdoor tent display area, which was taken advantage of by brands such as Snow Peak, Vango and Dometic. Inside the halls and the camping-specific brands were probably fewer than in 2021, but tents and camping related equipment was still heavily represented, with the likes of Terra Nova, Black Diamond, Salewa, and Sierra Designs all keen to show off the latest products and connect with existing and new customers alike. The show also looked to incorporate more social events this year, thanks to the lifting of all COVID-19 restrictions in the UK. There was an official OTS social on the Wednesday evening during which the finalists in nine categories of the 2022 UK Outdoor Industry Awards were announced and the Awards Display area at the show attracted a great deal of interest from visitors and provided a popular feature of the show with over 90 products on display.
