sector will again be represented
at Caravan Salon with such a
large range of products.”
This part of the show
will demonstrate different
destinations to visitors including
Australia, Croatia, Cyprus, the
Mediterranean, the Baltic Sea,
Greece, Slovenia, Denmark
and the local North Rhine-
Westphalia region of Germany.
It’s clear that the destination and
inspiration is just as important to
campers as the vehicles they use
to stay in these places. Equally
the other outdoor activities that
people accompany with their
caravanning holidays will get
a front-row seat in this hall.
Stefan Koschke summarised:
“The interest of manufacturers,
retailers, and destinations in
presenting in Hall 3 is very
high. This clearly shows that it
is important for the exhibitors
to present themselves personally
to their audience again.
Accordingly, fans can also expect
a varied program on stage. I
cordially invite all friends of
outdoor activities to visit us,
as they can get comprehensive
information and also shop here.”
NORMALITY IS
RESTORED
Many of the favourite elements
of Caravan Salon that have
not been able to take place in
recent years will be returning
for 2022. One example is the
caravan centre, a huge caravan
parking lot that offers some
3,500 serviced and nonserviced
pitches for people
to attend the show in their
own caravan or motorhome.
These pitches sold out very
quickly when they went on
sale, proving just how popular
this element of the show is. As
well as this, expect to find an
adventure DIY section where
several self-converted camping
vehicles can be inspected
and put through their paces
– the idea is to help people
learn more about the skills
needed to create their own
conversions and how to do this
safely. There will also be a
focus on the environment and
sustainability as the industry
faces up to the challenges of
climate change. One final
feature of note is that CVID
will have a separate section
within the show to promote its
caravan and mobile technology
qualification that it has created
in collaboration with the
German central association car
body and vehicle technology
(ZKF). The idea behind this is
to encourage more people to
consider making a career in the
caravan industry building these
wonderful machines that bring
us so much joy as end users.
