We make many movements on our face without noticing it. Our face, which takes shape while 

reacting to something, can respond to us with lines. Not only with facial expressions and 

reactions, but also with the deformation of wrinkles, which is a sign of aging, we worry about 

how to find a solution. We ask, “How does it go?” Face yoga, which comes to our rescue while 

we are thinking, helps us with what we are worried about. This type of yoga, which helps us 

to make our face look younger, can be easily applied to preserve the vitality of the cells and to 

keep the facial muscles vigorous at all times. Remember, the most effective face yoga is done 

regularly and often, with the right exercise. 

How to do 

- Stretch your face well with the fish-face movement you will make. With this move, you will 

work all your facial muscles and you will have a tense look. 

- If you want the lips and cheeks to work, use your preference for the letter “O”. When you say 

the letter O, your muscles will work intensely; you will have more taut lips and cheeks. 

-Fix your hand with the index fingers on the eyebrows and the thumbs on the lip. Yes, that’s it! 

As long as you repeat these movements often, you can prevent wrinkles on your face.

production approach. We interviewed Servet Gerz, Vice of 

Chairman at Aksan Kozmetik A.Ş. on the company. 

A journey that starts with wet wipes… Could you inform us 

on the successful origin story of Aksan Kozmetik? 

Aksan Kozmetik was established in 2008 in Istanbul. We started 

production with a staff of 40 people in a total area of 2000 square 

meters, at that time we had an annual production capacity of 20 

million packs of wet wipes. 

Today, we produce 100 thousand tons of liquid, 220 million 

packs of wet wipes, 15 million boxes of ear buds and 50 

million pet bottles per year at Sedex, ISO, GMP, BRC and IFS 

quality standards in our 30 thousand square meter integrated 

production facility located in Hadımköy, Istanbul. We are one of 

the companies with the highest liquid filling capacity in Turkey. 

We also manufacture complementary products such as ear buds, 

plastic caps, pet bottles, cotton wicks in our integrated facility. 

We meet our own plastic packaging needs with PET packaging 

and PP injection production lines, and we also supply many 

brands both in Turkey and around the world. 

We continue our journey, which we started with wet wipes, by 

working hard to become a leader in the sector by developing 

products that are high quality, innovative and in line with the 

needs of the consumer. 

You have many brands that stand out in the domestic and

plastik kapak, pet şişe, fitil pamuk gibi tamamlayıcı ürünler de 

üretiyoruz. PET ambalajları ve PP enjeksiyon üretim hatları ile 

kendi plastik ambalaj ihtiyacımızı karşılıyoruz ve aynı zamanda 

hem Türkiye’de hem dünyada birçok markaya da tedarik 

ediyoruz. 

Islak mendil ile başladığımız yolculuğumuza, kaliteli,

product categories with Comfort Love and Happy Kinder in the 

foreign market. 

You are one of the companies with the highest liquid filling 

capacity in Turkey and you are making a name for yourself 

with your many successful strategies. So, what is the secret 

of this success? 

We follow innovations and are in continuous development. In

Bringing a different perspective to deodorant, your new 

product “Deo Wipes” became one of the preferred products 

as soon as it took its place on the shelves. Could you tell us 

about the advantages of your new product? 

Thanks to the situation we encountered at a fair in Dubai a 

few years ago, we achieved the success of being the first brand 

to produce DeoWipes in Turkey with an investment of 500 

thousand dollars, starting with the idea of combining deodorant 

and wet wipes. DeoWipes, which does not contain any propellant 

gas, is ozone-friendly and vegan certified, provides freshness all 

day long with its pleasant smell. Thanks to its rich content, it 

helps moisturize the skin and offers 24-hour protection against 

sweat odor. 

Yeni ürününüzün bizlere sunduğu avantajları anlatır

Birkaç yıl önce Dubai’deki bir fuarda karşılaştığımız durum 

sayesinde deodorant ve ıslak mendili bir araya getirme fikrinden

We are trying to meet the quality expectations of our customers 

at the highest level by producing in accordance with the ISO, 

GMP, BRC and IFS quality standards. In addition, we develop 

our products by following new trends and using up-to-date 

and safe raw materials. We attach importance to product 

development with the principle that our products are products 

that facilitate the lives of our customers at every moment of their 

lives and contribute to the safe coexistence of their loved ones.

What do you think about your export and target markets? 

Are there any new investments? 

As Aksan Kozmetik, we were among the top 5 companies that 

exported most last year. Our biggest export market is Europe, 

followed by Latin America and Russia. This year we established 

our first office and logistics center in Romania. We aim to 

organize the same action in London and in Panama next year, 

so that we can conduct our operations in Latin America more 

effectively. Thanks to these steps, we aim to increase our exports 

by 30% in the next period compared to last year. 

As our new investment, we purchased our skin care masks 

production and packaging machine. We are planning to produce 

face care masks containing solutions formulated to be good 

for skin problems in a solution impregnated with nonwovens, 

which are sold in single packages and allow skin care in the 

home environment. Our machine will be in our factory at the 

end of 3 months. We aim to start the production of skin care 

masks at the beginning of next year. 

What are your expectations and recommendations for the 

sector? 

In my opinion, the personal care sector is a sector that will 

develop day by day, its market will grow and its consumption 

will increase continuously. We can say that investing in this 

sector is the right investment as long as people increase their 

maintenance and cleaning habits. 

Producing innovative products that provide comfort to the 

consumer in addition to innovative, aesthetic and personal care 

during use will make the manufacturer and the brand preferable. 

As Aksan Kozmetik, we try to lead the way in these matters.

Yeni yatırımlar söz konusu mu? 

Aksan Kozmetik olarak geçen yıl ihracat yapan firmalar 

arasında ilk 5 firma içerisinde yer aldık. En büyük ihracat 

pazarımız Avrupa, sonrasında Latin Amerika ve Rusya geliyor. 

Bu yıl Romanya’da ilk ofisimizi ve lojistik merkezimizi kurduk. 

Aynı aksiyonu Londra’da ve önümüzdeki yılda Panama’da aynı 

şekilde organizasyon kurmayı hedefliyoruz, böylece Latin 

Amerika’daki operasyonlarımızı daha efektif yürütebileceğiz. 

Bu adımlar sayesinde gelecek dönemde ihracatımızı geçen 

seneye oranla %30 artırmayı hedefliyoruz. 

Yeni yatırımımız olarak cilt bakım maskeleri üretim ve 

paketleme makinemizi satın aldık. Tekli paketlerde satılan, ev 

ortamında cilt bakımına imkân tanıyan nonwovena emdirilmiş 

solüsyon içerisinde cilt problemlerine iyi gelecek şekilde 

formüle edilmiş solüsyonları içeren yüz bakım maskeleri 

üretmeyi planlıyoruz. Makinemiz 3 ay sonunda fabrikamızda 

olacak. Gelecek sene başında da cilt bakım maskeleri üretimine 

başlamayı hedefliyoruz. 

Sektör açısından beklenti ve tavsiyeleriniz neler? 

Kişisel bakım sektörü bana göre günden güne gelişecek, pazarı 

büyüyecek ve tüketimi sürekli artacak bir sektördür. Bu sektöre 

yatırım yapmanın insanlar bakım ve temizlik alışkanlıklarını 

arttırdığı sürece doğru bir yatırım olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. 

İnovatif, estetik ve kullanım esnasında kişisel bakımın yanında 

tüketiciye konfor sağlayan yenilikçi ürünler üretmek üreticiyi

The protection of animals is the most important factor that 

everyone who has compassion and conscience should pay 

attention to. Well, when we consider today, have you ever 

wondered if animal products are used in your favorite makeup 

products? If you don’t know how this distinction is made 

and the relationship of the subject with cosmetics, let’s take 

you like this... 

Vegan cosmetics are cosmetic products that do not contain any 

ingredients directly or indirectly derived from animals. What is 

meant by ingredients derived from animals; honey, milk eggs 

etc. appear as products. If you think that vegan cosmetics and 

vegetarian cosmetics are the same thing, sorry you are wrong. 

The only thing the two have in common is that they are not 

tested on animals, so even though they are “cruelty free”, it does 

not change the fact that there is a big difference between them. 

Because, while vegetarian cosmetics can contain formulas 

obtained indirectly from animals, vegan cosmetics cannot 

under any circumstances.

Vegan kozmetik, direkt hayvandan ya da dolaylı olarak 

hayvanlardan elde edilen herhangi bir içeriği yapısında 

bulundurmayan kozmetik ürünlerine deniliyor. Hayvanlardan 

elde edilen içeriklerden kasıt; bal, süt yumurta vb. ürünler olarak 

karşımıza çıkıyor. Vegan kozmetik ile vejetaryen kozmetik aynı 

şeydir diye düşünüyorsanız, üzgünüm yanılıyorsunuz. İkisinin 

tek ortak noktası, hayvanlar üzerinde test yapılmaması yani 

“cruelty free” olsa da, aralarında büyük bir fark olduğu gerçeğini 

değiştirmiyor. Çünkü, vejetaryen kozmetik hayvanlardan 

dolaylı olarak elde edilen formülleri yapısında barındırabilirken, 

vegan kozmetik hiçbir koşulda barındıramaz.

the ingredient list. You can have information by reading the 

ingredient list of the product. 

Although most of us think of meat and bone when it comes to 

animal content, the materials obtained from animals can be 

different.

Aesthetic, Plastic Surgeon and Medical Director, Dr. Ercan Cihandide 

Aesthetic, Plastic Surgeon and Medical Director, Dr. Ercan 

Cihandide, at the meeting he was invited to, gave training to 

Iranian Medical Aesthetics doctors about the application of 

facial filling, which has been used quite a lot in recent years. 

Cihandide underlined that with the widespread use of the 

method, errors also increased and underlined that wrong 

applications would lead to undesirable results. After giving a 

theoretical presentation to 30 Iranian doctors who attended 

the meeting on facial anatomy, dangerous areas, injection 

techniques, where, how and when the filler should be used, 

Cihandide also showed him the tricks of the job in his clinic. 

Warnings from Cihandide: 

- More filling does not mean better results. The right amount 

of filler given to the right depth will produce a beautiful and 

natural result. 

- The need for the amount of filling of each region is different, 

as well as the model and thickness of the filling to be used. For 

this reason, it is not right to say let’s use the rest of the filler used 

in the cheeks on the lips, but if it is used, it will bring side effects 

and troubles. 

- It should be preferred that there is a period of at least 2 weeks 

between the filling applications and the date of receiving the 

COVID-19 vaccines, which are especially very strong immune 

system stimulant. 

Kepçe kulak estetiği ile ilgili geliştirdiği teknik ile dünya 

tıp literatüründe yer alan Estetik, Plastik ve Rekonstrüktif 

Cerrahi Uzmanı Op. Dr. Ercan Cihandide, davet edildiği 

toplantıda İranlı Medikal Estetik doktorlarına, son yıllarda 

oldukça fazla kullanılan yüze dolgu uygulaması ile ilgili 

eğitim verdi. 

Cihandide, yöntemin yaygın kullanımıyla birlikte hataların da 

arttığını belirterek yanlış uygulamaların istenmeyen sonuçlar 

doğuracağının altını çizdi. Toplantıya katılan 30 İranlı doktora 

yüz anatomisi, tehlikeli alanlar, enjeksiyon teknikleri, dolgunun 

nerede, nasıl, ne zaman kullanılması gerektiğiyle ilgili yaptığı 

teorik sunumun ardından anlattıklarını kliniğinde uygulamalı 

olarak da gösteren Cihandide, işin püf noktalarını anlattı. 

Cihandide’den uyarılar: 

- Fazla miktarda dolgu daha iyi sonuç demek değildir. Doğru 

miktarda, doğru derinliğe verilen dolgu güzel ve doğal sonucu 

ortaya çıkaracaktır. 

- Her bölgenin dolgu miktarı ihtiyacı ayrı olduğu gibi, 

kullanılacak dolgu modeli ve kalınlığı da ayrıdır. Bu nedenle 

yanakta kullanılan dolgunun kalanını dudakta kullanalım 

demek doğru bir şey olmamakla birlikte kullanılırsa yan etki ve 

sıkıntıları da yanında getirecektir. 

- Dolgu uygulamaları ile özellikle çok kuvvetli immün sistem 

uyarıcısı olan COVİD-19 aşılarını olma tarihi arasında en az 2 

haftalık bir süre olması tercih edilmelidir.

a customer’s purchasing decision. An effective packaging should 

make an impression as if talking to the customer and provide a

Syntax 

When the product is placed on the shelves within the framework 

of the determined categories, its packaging should be placed in 

front. The design as a whole should be arranged in such a way 

that it attracts attention at first glance. The colors and visuals 

used in the design always increase the effect. Background color, 

typography, images should be relevant to the product and 

should provide appeal. 

Packaging & label relationship in cosmetics 

In the packaging of cosmetic class products, ostentatiousness is 

at the forefront. Packaging appears as the dress and language of 

a product. As a result, the better a package expresses itself, the 

more the consumer can form a bond with the product and even 

develop loyalty to the product. The label gives information about 

the manufacturer of a product. The label, which also plays an 

important role in conveying the qualities, quality and symbolic 

meaning of the product, is either placed on the packaging or 

attached directly to the product. The most important aspect of 

a label is consumer protection. In other words, thanks to the 

labels that provide enough information about the product, the 

consumer can make comparisons between various brands and 

guide his decision accordingly. 

Kozmetikte ambalaj & etiket ilişkisi 

Kozmetik sınıfı ürünlerin ambalajında gösteriş oldukça ön 

plandadır. Ambalaj bir ürünün elbisesi ve dili olarak karşımıza 

çıkar. Sonuç olarak, bir ambalaj kendisini ne kadar iyi ifade

Mondi and Essity launch packaging for feminine care range 

Mondi and Essity kadın bakım ürünleri için özel ambalaj piyasaya sürüyor 

Leading hygiene and health company Essity has collaborated 

with Mondi and Dow to improve the carbon footprint of its 

global feminine care packaging 

Mondi, a global leader in packaging and paper, has collaborated 

with Essity and Dow to create new, recyclable secondary 

packaging for Essity’s feminine care products, using renewable 

materials and post-consumer recycled content that reduces use 

of fossil-based materials. 

Essity’s feminine care towels were previously packed in bags 

that already used 50% renewable materials. Extensive research 

and testing by Mondi however, resulted in the recommendation 

of a new solution that aligns with Essity’s 

packaging goals: to work towards 

100% recyclability and to use up to 

85% biomass, renewable or recycled 

material in all bags where up to 25% 

are recycled plastics. 

The new packaging contributes to 

these sustainability goals by using a 

renewable material and by-product 

from the paper making industry that 

is produced from circular feedstock 

based on the ISCC (International 

Sustainability & Carbon Certification) 

mass balance approach. The 

innovative packaging also contains 

mechanically recycled content from 

post-consumer material. Mondi 

worked with long-term supplier Dow 

and other companies along the value 

chain to find the most suitable resin 

formulation for this solution. The end 

result is an extruded film that is printed 

on and converted into a bag. 

Providing the same high-level of protection as the 

previous alternative, the solution prevents moisture and 

light damaging the feminine care range, has strong sealing 

properties and delivers outstanding print quality to maintain 

on-shelf appeal for Essity’s European recognised brands, such 

as Bodyform, Libresse, Nana and Nuvenia. 

Marjo Kuisma, Regional Sales Consumer Flexibles, Mondi, 

says: “The challenge was to find the best combination of 

renewable and recycled content that maintains product quality 

and the production efficiency already enjoyed by Essity. We 

tested several options until we found the most suitable solution. 

Working in collaboration with Essity and Dow validates our 

EcoSolutions approach; we go back to the start and ask the right 

questions to ensure we create the best possible solution for our 

customers.”
