too much history to risk losing it.
He rallied his family to get to work
on repairs, including a horseshoe-shaped
driveway among others. He’s hosted up to
78 people for Thanksgiving, adding that
“everyone has a place to sit.”
Patsios believes Swampscott is a special
place, and says there’s a level of satisfaction
knowing the history and significance of the
home.
“We just continued to love the home,”
Patsios said.
Alexander "Sandy" Tennant, who still
lives in Swampscott and is currently the
CEO of New England Strategic Development
Corp, lived happily in the house from
1994-2009. Tennant especially enjoyed the
annual Christmas parties, political fundraisers,
and seeing his kids grow up there.
Each of his five children are named after
republican presidents. His daughter, Reagan,
used to run kids camps at the house
featuring trampolines and an arts and crafts
table in the carriage house, while McKinley
and AJ took advantage of the full-court
basketball area – each going on to play at
the collegiate level.
“It was a great home for those kids to

grow up in,” Tennant said.
