Prebbleton Childcare
In response to the growing need in the community,
Prebbleton parents and caregivers will soon have
the opportunity to have their young children cared
for locally. Prebbleton Childcare, a family-owned
and operated centre in Prebbleton for nearly 23
years, will be opening its purpose-built Nursery
in early 2023. The Nursery will offer spaces for
children aged 12 weeks to 2 years of age with a 1:3
ratio in the infant area 1:3 (Ruma Poipoia). Gemma
Dillon, from Prebbleton Childcare, states, “We are
excited to offer a service to meet the needs of our
growing Prebbleton Community.”
This homely and family-focused centre has a vision
of being ‘’The next best place to home” and provides
care and education options for children aged
0-5 years. Due to low staff turnover and over half
of the Nursery teaching team being with Prebbleton
Childcare for over a decade, consistency of
care for your child is assured. These nurturing
teachers are professional and up to date with
modern and best teaching practices. They provide
unhurried routines with plenty of time for children
to be engrossed in play and learning. Prebbleton
Childcare has a philosophy centred around strong
relationships with family and children and focuses
on connection with the natural world.
With the centre offering spacious natural surroundings
outdoors, children can be around pets,
trees and organic gardens and be involved in caring
for the animals and environment. With its natural
feel, Gemma says, “It almost feels like it could be
your own backyard.”
