It is time to light
those braai fires
If you are in for a rustic experience and don’t expect to dine at tables
laid in silver and porcelain, then a visit to the Fire Factory is an absolute
must. We did not quite know what to expect but can assure you a real
treat. In true Brafia style, Corne Bornman braved the heat of open flames
where a whole pig cooked (or will that be braaied?) to perfection in the
fire pit and chickens roasted over the flames in a chain cage. Dished
up with salads, pap and relish and bread rolls, well, let’s just say, those
guests who could handle seconds would most certainly have dished up
again. To top a really good evening off, the Fire Factory added good live
entertainment by Bacchus Nel. Oh, and let’s not forget they also offer a
platform for local artists to exhibit their work. Currently on exhibition are
photographs by Marius Henning and paintings by Ronell Kellerman.
