Richards has shown to be very prolific
in his present work in acrylic painting
completing several pieces in recent
years. His paintings are large, colorful,
happy and musical as he describes
them. You have the opportunity to see
his work in an upcoming show at the
Desert Open Studios of which Kathleen
Strukoff, (an artist featured in the last
issue), has offered him space for his
work at the March 3rd event. Following
events of this show will be on March

PALM SPRINGS, February 28, 2023 – Due to weather forecasts predicting a 90% chance of rain for
tomorrow, the FREE tribute concert scheduled for Wednesday, March 1 st , 2023, featuring Wanted
– the Music of Bon Jovi, is now rescheduled for Wednesday, March 15 th at 7:00 pm in the downtown
park.
The concert series is FREE and open to everyone. We encourage everyone to bring beach
chairs and blankets and enjoy live entertainment in our beautiful downtown park on our new date,
Wednesday, March 15 th .
Sponsors of this series are the City of Palm Springs, PS Resorts, DAP Health, VRON-PS, I Heart
Mac and Cheese and K-Gay. Future concerts include Bee Gees Gold on April 5 th and DSB, the

CELEBRATES A NEW MILESTONE! “If you break
the ground, can you walk on it?” is the question
actor and comedian Jason Stuart asks, as he
celebrates the 30th year anniversary of “coming
out” on the GERALDO SHOW in 1993.
He spoke the words “I’m gay, deal with it!” on
TV long before other stars like Ellen DeGeneres,
Ricky Martin, Wanda Sykes, Rosie O’Donnell,
and Matt Boomer joined him. He came out at
a time when there was no playbook on how
to be an openly gay artist in the US, much less
in Hollywood. The son of a Holocaust survivor
and a beautician, he created a successful career
in an industry where appearing to be gay
man was an invitation to the unemployment
line. However, Jason would not take no for an
answer - in fact, it made him work harder. His
father, a Jewish immigrant, always told him
(in a thick Polish accent), “When you go to the
interview, wear a tie and show them you mean
business”. Jason took that to mean ‘be your best
self’ - and that is what he strove to be.
Jason received the Indie Series Award for
Best Actor in a Comedy for the Amazon series
SMOTHERED in 2022, which he also co-created
with Mitch Hara. “When I heard the news that
I won, I was filled with emotions. As I grow
older, the idea of being acknowledged by my
peers means a great deal to me.” Season 2 will
be out in the Spring back on Amazon & Revry
with notably guest-stars Amanda Bearse, Jai
Rodriguez, Armand Fields, Aida Rodriguez,
Carol Ita White and Robert Costanzo to name a
few.

Feb. 28, 2023 – INDIO, CA – The Rock Yard concert series at
Fantasy Springs Resort Casino returns to the famed outdoor
stage for the 2023 season with a stellar line-up of the country’s
best tribute acts and cover bands.
The FREE concert series kicks off on Friday, March 10 with
Journey tribute band, Don’t Stop Believing and cover band
Almost Famous opening the show.
In keeping with tradition, the ‘Rock Yard on Steroids’ edition
features the return of Danny Seraphine and CTA of Chicago fame
on April 7 and rockers Puddle of Mudd later in the season. Other
notable acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Rock Yard outdoor venue features a recently expanded stage
in an amphitheater-style setting where music revelers can enjoy
exciting concerts with state-of-the-art sound systems. This
season features tributes to iconic rock bands such as Van Halen,
Journey, AC/DC, and Metallica along with fan favorites like the
Beastie Boys, Duran Duran, and Depeche Mode.
