No ball is left unkicked for<br />
Hayden, son of colleague Bobby<br />
Matabadal. His dream? To become<br />
a professional football player. Either<br />
in the Dutch national team or at<br />
an international club: Barcelona,<br />
Madrid, or Manchester. Or "just" at<br />
Ajax. All sports teams would be nice<br />
if you ask Hayden.<br />
Hayden: "What do I love about playing<br />
soccer? Kicking the ball my hardest,<br />
and the excitement of a game. But<br />
also that you play together. I’m not<br />
the best on the team, but we often<br />
win because we play together. That’s<br />
what I love about soccer, you’re<br />
never alone. By the way, I play at The<br />
Gunners, in the Haagse Beemden in<br />
Breda. My father sometimes helps<br />
us when we train; I really like that. He<br />
works at <strong>Aartsen</strong> and my mother at<br />
Rituals. Their work is very different<br />
from what I want to do later, but they<br />
think my dream is awesome. My hero<br />
is Messi. So when the Netherlands<br />
played against Argentina, I found<br />
it hard to pick a favourite. In the<br />
Netherlands, I am for Ajax, by the<br />
way. But I don’t know where I want<br />
to play later. Barcelona, Madrid,<br />
and Manchester: all these clubs are<br />
cool. Many of my classmates want<br />
to become professional footballers<br />
when they grow up. Maybe later we<br />
can all play together in the Dutch<br />
national team. I would love to play<br />
with everyone!"<br />
Liv, daughter of colleague Dennis<br />
van den Bemd, has a mission: to<br />
make people feel better. That’s why<br />
she wants to become a doctor when<br />
she grows up. This is also because<br />
her grandfather is clumsy and often<br />
needs medical attention.<br />
Liv: "My grandfather is really clumsy.<br />
He even had a cut in his hand, and<br />
a few weeks ago, there was glass in<br />
his foot, which hurt a lot! Grandma’s<br />
neck and shoulder often hurt. That<br />
is why I want to become a doctor<br />
to help my grandparents feel better,<br />
but I want to help everyone in the<br />
Netherlands if I can. I would love<br />
it if I could help other people later.<br />
Children, older people… I don’t really<br />
care. I’ve known forever that I wanted<br />
to be a doctor. Just like my sister,<br />
by the way. She is only 4 years old,<br />
but she already knows she wants to<br />
become a doctor too. Maybe one day<br />
we can start our own practice; that<br />
would be nice! Did my parents make<br />
me caring? Dad works with fruit,<br />
but mom works with handicapped<br />
people. Maybe because of her, I<br />
want to help other people so much.<br />
I actually think so. By the way, mom<br />
and dad want me to become a doctor.<br />
Grandpa and grandma? I think they’ll<br />
be happy too!"<br />
