ERP SYSTEM<br />
So what is Fresh? Fresh is Aarsten’s self-developed computer<br />
system, which holds all logistics, commercial and financial<br />
matters. "We opted for 100% customization as we couldn’t<br />
find what we needed in the existing market. We developed<br />
our system with an internal project team of eight people and<br />
Thinkwise. Now, we can see detailed processes within the<br />
application and we have a sustainable automation solution<br />
that ensures that we remain at the forefront of our industry<br />
for the next decade," says project leader Mathijs Buzeijn.<br />
With <strong>Aartsen</strong> and Thinkwise joining forces, they’ve built an<br />
application that aligns with the logistical, commercial and<br />
financial processes within <strong>Aartsen</strong> and its employee culture.<br />
We have had in between releases, but this version is the real<br />
deal says Mathijs. We are grateful for our team and colleagues<br />
as we have extensively tested the system with 25 key users,<br />
which asked for much patience from everyone. We’ve gone<br />
from a Volkswagen Polo to a Mercedes S-class with only<br />
a few setbacks. Our test runs were on the weekends and<br />
Monday - the busiest sales day for us - so getting to this<br />
point (of launching the system) took plenty of energy,<br />
but we made it.<br />
Fresh’s new ERP package will be used at the warehouse<br />
locations in Breda, Venlo, and St. Katelijne-Waver; we are also<br />
actively developing a suitable application for the Hong Kong<br />
branch. We aim to fully integrate both applications within<br />
Fresh, to have one solution for the entire <strong>Aartsen</strong> group.<br />
<strong>Aartsen</strong> focuses on perfecting the system and isn’t rushing<br />
to market the ERP package more widely. "<strong>Aartsen</strong> is a<br />
unique company in the sector and and the system is fully<br />
developed for our organization. Fresh is the starting point and<br />
we will take significant steps within IT. Let’s say this launch is<br />
phase 0, and we already have 4 phases planned. Stay tuned!"<br />
<strong>Aartsen</strong> celebrates its ERP system Fresh going<br />
live with a celebratory day for its employees.<br />
Aarsten has been developing this system in-house<br />
for four years with their IT partner Thinkwise.<br />
On Friday, the 21 st of November 2022, they finally<br />
launched "Fresh" with a festive company-wide<br />
celebration.<br />
