Owner Alan Bell started his<br />
business 40 years ago, inspired by a<br />
life-long love of classic cars. Since he<br />
was 16, Alan has owned hundreds of<br />
vehicles, many of which needed full<br />
restoration work, so he decided to<br />
turn his hobby into a business.<br />
Old cars are notorious for their<br />
quickly deteriorating parts and<br />
components, rendering them<br />
unreliable after only a few years.<br />
However, shot blasting can help to<br />
extend the life of your vehicle. It’s<br />
much faster and more thorough than<br />
manual cleaning or sanding, making<br />
it an efficient way to restore steel<br />
components and prepare them for<br />
further coating applications.<br />
Alan said: “I love to breathe new<br />
life into what was someone’s pride<br />
and joy. It is such a rewarding job<br />
to remove paint and corrosion<br />
from a classic car on its restoration<br />
journey and I am proud to say I even<br />
featured on TV.”<br />
Working from his home, a 1720<br />
coach house on the Wentworth<br />
Estate, Alan has undertaken projects<br />
at Wentworth Woodhouse where he<br />
has helped to restore the lamps in<br />
front of the house and radiators in<br />
the stately home. He also cleans up<br />
the local cenotaphs at Wentworth,<br />
Jump and Wombwell free of charge.<br />
