Beverley lives and works in Aylesford, and specialises in linocuts. The acquisition of an original Albion printing press proved to be a turning point from which her printmaking practice has developed and flourishes. Inside, you’ll find a vast collection of intricate and often hilarious limited edition etchings, produced entirely by hand from start to finish. You’ll see where the intriguing process takes place and all the paraphernalia involved, while browsing witty and whimsical etchings, books, greetings cards and posters. Gaia by Luke Jerram comes to Landmark Arts Centre From 10 May Ferry Road, Teddington TW11 9NN Luke Jerram’s monumental new Earth artwork, Gaia, measures 7 metres across, and hangs suspended in the Landmark’s stunning historic space, slowly revolving to the sound of a specially composed track by Dan Jones. The exhibition will have all sorts going on around it, including late night openings, music concerts and family activities, but the star of the show will certainly be Gaia itself. With the help of imagery from NASA’s Visible Earth series, it offers a unique perspective on our home planet, allowing us to see the Earth as if from space as usually only astronauts can. As a visual representation of the fragility and beauty of the Earth, it inspires a feeling of awe, a profound understanding of the interconnectivity of life, and a sense of responsibility for the environment. landmarkartscentre.org 4. This July at Trew Art, you’ll find a wealth of inspiring and calming art, exploring themes of reflection, family, nature, animals, travel and down-to-earth words.
