Victor Cagayat, Auckland Artist, will returntocarve his magic by turning large blocksofice into sculptures in the Blackwell’sDepartmentStore carpark between 12.30pm - 3.30pm.Strawberry Fairy and herfairy friend will jointhe festivities forfreefacepaintingand magical moments forthe children between 1.30-3.30pm. Thenasthe evening cools down,the nightmarket will runfrom4.30-7.30pm with awide variety of food andcraft stalls lining the Blackwell’sand the Kaiapoi Club carparks. Dr Sanchez returns to play the soundtrack forthe nightwithhis Latin Guitar. Complimentary mulled wine will be availablefor those over 18 years. This year the community will be entertained andamazedbynew performing artists. Aerial artists, Sam and Tyla, will be performing forthe first time in Kaiapoi between 4.30 and 5.30pm. Thecrowd will then be mesmerised by Emma and Kayla with their dazzling LED Hula Hoops and Stilt Walkers, Freya and Dan who will be roaming the night market between 5.30 and7.30pm. Don’t missthe opportunity to see and interact with theseexceptionallytalented artists throughout the evening. Finally,toend the entertainment, Kitty Strawberry,alocalChristchurch Fireand LED performer will pair up with Otautahi FireGroup to bring the crowds an amazing fireperformance including firepoi and firebreathing from 6pm to 7.30pm.
