Just like we build relationships
with our listeners,
WJR also values
building relationships
within the business
community. The
Chaldean News allows
us to build relationships
within the Chaldean
community and its large
number of entrepreneurial
business owners.
— Michael D. Fezzey,
president and general
manager, WJR Radio
As we enter
our fourth year
of publishing
the Chaldean
News, we
thought we’d
ask people –
both inside and
outside the
community –
for their
impressions.
The Chaldean News is
an excellent venue for
people all over the
Metro Detroit area
wanting to stay connected
to the Chaldean
community. You cover
timely stories of interest
to the community at
large. I find the publication
informative and
entertaining. I wish you
continued success as
you venture into your
fourth year in business.
— Robert Ficano, Wayne
County executive
It’s a great paper; my
wife and I look forward
to getting and reading
it. It has great articles
and gives us good information
on what’s going
on in the community.
Keep up the good work.
Ronnie Jamil, owner,
Mug and Jug
I always have a lot of
people asking to get the
paper and talking about
it. The feedback on it
from the community is
excellent. I congratulate
everybody who works
on the paper. There was
an absolute need for
this. We need to reach
more Chaldeans in other
parts of Michigan who
need to be informed on
the community.
— Carl Dallo, parish
council of St. George
Chaldean Catholic Church
The Chaldean News
has had a positive
impact on the community
by bringing relevant
issues to the forefront.
Some stories may have
had a negative stigma
because of the community’s
attitude toward
the issues but the stories
are important to talk
about — for example, a
lot of the health issues.
It has brought the community,
hopefully, a little
closer because we’re
more aware of what’s
going on. I talk to a lot
of the young people and
they take pride in reading
about the community
and being more
informed. I think it’s a
great tool.
— Ed Bahoura, owner,
Save-A-Lot, and board
member, Gleaners
Community Food Bank
Over the past three years
the Chaldean News has
provided an important
voice in Michigan’s
Chaldean community,
allowing members to
come together to celebrate
their culture, discuss
their concerns and
share ideas for moving
Michigan forward. I congratulate
the Chaldean
News on its success, and
wish it the best in its
years of service ahead.
— Michigan Governor
Jennifer M. Granholm
