The Chaldean News is a
breath of fresh air for the
mass media, which has
grown stale and tired in
its daily news coverage.
While the so-called
“mainstream press”
claim to be balanced and
thorough when reporting
on important issues that
impact major communities
or faith groups,
rarely do they paint an
accurate picture. The
Chaldean News goes
much deeper to help me
and other readers develop
a better understanding
of the major news
events, the Chaldean
people in the Detroit, and
the powerful impact the
Chaldean people have
on our world today.”
— T eresa T omeo,
nationally syndicated talk
show host, and program host
on Catholic Connection/
Ave Maria Radio
The opportunity to communicate
to the next generation
is what this publication
has provided. I
remember as a child
coming to this country
and my father reading a
locally produced paper,
but it was in Arabic and I
didn’t understand a word
of it. He looked forward
to it. As our community
has grown, there is no
way you could keep in
touch with everything that
has gone on without a
publication like this.
Because it’s in English
and appeals across the
board to so many social,
economic and age brackets,
it’s very diverse.
— Frank Jonna, CEO ,
Jonna Companies, and
board member, Chaldean
American Chamber of
Commerce
I personally enjoy reading
the Chaldean News.
It never fails if I am at
church, Shenandoah,
CALC programs or even
the mall – people will
always stop and say, “I
love reading the CALC
page.” One question that
is NOT asked as often
is, “what does CALC do
with our $35 membership?
” Thanks to the
Chaldean News publishing
every month’s events,
there is no need to ask,
except how to help.
We have increased
membership and the
best increase we have
had is in volunteers.
The Chaldean News is a
great source of information
for Chaldeans in
Oakland County and
throughout Southeast
Michigan. The reporting
and features are relevant,
informative and compelling.
I wish this great
publication continued success
in our community.
– U .S. Congressman
Joe K nollenberg
The Chaldean News provides
the community an
opportunity to shine! It
gives those within and
beyond the community a
chance to get caught up
on what’s happening
locally. I know the Halhole
and Boushala spots are
probably two of the most
read and enjoyed parts of
the publication.
— Nida Samona,
chairperson, Michigan
Liq uor Control Commission
What an outstanding publication
that has had the
unique ability to inform,
entertain and enlighten all
generations of our community.
It has provided a
voice for many, for which
we should all applaud.
Congratulations to the
entire staff of the
Chaldean News for its
reporting of all issues,
including topics that need
discussion and debate.
Wishing you many, many
more years.
D’Agostini, chief j udge,
