What’s the most unique thing you’ve seen at a wedding?
By Anthony Samona
Wedding season is upon us! Chaldeans share their thoughts on what’s struck them most at a wedding.
The coolest thing I have ever seen at
a wedding was fire breathers during
dinner. All the cool tricks and the
height of the flames really took my
breath away.
A really cool idea is a photo booth.
If a couple were to choose something
to entertain their guests with, it
should be this. Not only does it take
the picture, but it also includes props
to make your picture funny, and it has
the date of that special occasion.
West Bloomfield
I love when the bride arrives to the
church in a horse and carriage.
It adds such a pretty touch to the
wedding ceremony, and it makes the
bride feel like she’s a princess on her
special day. It adds a fairytale touch
to everything.
– Morgan Ayar, 18
West Bloomfield
Not many weddings I have attended
have this, but one had a hot dog
stand located in the lobby right after
dessert. It’s such a good idea to
please your guests with, having them
to choose their own toppings and
condiments as well.
West Bloomfield
The sweetest idea — literally sweet!
— was a Cold Stone cart after
dinner. It absolutely hit the spot!
With about six different flavors and a
numerous amount of toppings, it was
definitely a hit; almost all the guests
went out to the lobby and enjoyed it.
Rochester Hills
The bride and groom got married
in a beautiful setting in the woods
underneath a gazebo with all different
kinds of flowers and gems hanging
from above. With the chairs and the
red carpet flowing down the aisle, it
was so amazing. When the ceremony
ended, the bride and groom rode
away in a two-seater bike through the
woods.
Sterling Heights
A great idea I have seen is when
the guests check for their seating
placement, instead of being printed
on a poster, your name and your
table number is printed out in a really
nice frame to keep. You can later
put a picture of your own from that
wedding.
One wedding I attended had a sushi
bar in the lobby for hors d’oeuvres. It
is a really great idea to impress your
guests, especially with professional
chiefs preparing the sushi. From California
Roll to Spicy Tuna, a sushi bar
at weddings is fantastic!
