LAST CHANCE TO ENTER THE BLEND AWARDS 2023
Garages in the UK and Ireland have been given
one last chance to enter The Blend Awards as
the community-driven garage management
software developer behind the event, Garage
Hive, announce a seven-day extension for
entries.
Submissions to The Blend’s ‘Garage of the
Year Award’ and ‘Staff Recognition Award’
should be made by 7th August online at
https://www.theblend.events/awards.
“We want to give every garage in the UK
and Ireland a chance to be recognised,” said
Ray Dilsons, Managing Director of Garage
Hive. “The extension gives busy workshops
additional time to get their award entries in
and showcase their remarkable work.”
The Blend Awards takes place at the
highly anticipated annual conference and
networking event for independent garage
owners in Birmingham on 7th October.
Award entries will be evaluated by a panel
of industry judges, with the nominees to be
announced on 30th August. Other award
categories include ‘Community Garage of the
Year’, which will be determined by a Garage
Hive community poll, while ‘Community
Member of the Year’ and ‘Early Adopter
Excellence Award’ will be selected by Garage
Hive.
The evening dinner and awards ceremony
on the 7th October at The Eastside Rooms
in Birmingham will follow a trade show
during the day and an impressive line-up
of renowned industry figures. The day
promises to bring a wide range of insightful
talks, including fresh tips and advice on
how to boost workshop efficiency and
performance.

RING TEAM TAKES ON THE YORKSHIRE
THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE TO RAISE
MONEY FOR CHARITY
To raise money for Cancer Research’s Business Beats Cancer, a charity
very important to many people at Ring, the team has decided to brave
the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on 14th September.
More than 15 team members at Ring are taking part in the Three Peaks
challenge in Yorkshire, which will see them climb the peaks of Pen-y-
Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723
metres), all of which need to be completed within 12 hours. Overall,
the challenge will see the team take on 40km of walking and 5,200ft of
ascent.
The company has set up a dedicated fundraising page for anyone

yorkshire-three-peaks-challenge-2023. The team hope to raise at least
£5,200, so any donations would be greatly appreciated by all.
Marketing Director for Ring, Henry Bisson, said: “I’ve decided to join in
on this Three Peaks challenge because it’s raising money for a fantastic
cause and it’s also a great opportunity to challenge myself and the team
as a whole. The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge is just that – a challenge,
and the staff at Ring were eager to take it on. It’s going to be a long
and difficult day, but we’ll definitely be encouraging each other to get
through it.
“The Business Beats Cancer is a brilliant initiative that we as a company
are happy to support, so we’re trying to raise as much money as we can,
so any amount donated will be incredible.”
