The Bone Code by Kathy Reichs
Kathy Reichs writes what she knows. She is a forensic anthropologist which means she
tracks down killers by studying the bones of their victims. She has written over 20 books
and is a bestselling Canadian author.
Her character, Temperance Brennan, is also a forensic anthropologist who divides her time
between Montreal and Charlotte, North Carolina. Ryan, her P.I. boyfriend, a former police
detective, helps her solve cases. In “The Bone Code”, Tempe works on solving a double
murder which she realizes may be connected to an unsolved double murder she investigated
15 years prior.
At the same time, strange and fatal viruses are spreading thru the U.S. and Canada. Reichs
takes us into the world of the pharmaceutical industry. She explores genetic engineering and
vaccine development. While this is a work of fiction, you may be shocked to discover what
potential uses these technologies could have.
Finally, are the murders connected somehow to the deadly viruses? Will Tempe and Ryan
solve the case in time to save innocent lives? You will have to read “The Bone Code” to
find out!
