Leigh Dole, founder and director
of Blow Bar Co, has been announced
as the winner of the ‘One to Watch’
Award and ‘Service Business
of the Year’ Award at the 2023
AusMumpreneur Awards.
The AusMumpreneur Awards
celebrates and recognises mothers
(Leigh has four daughters) in business
achieving outstanding success in areas
such as business excellence, product
development, customer service and
digital innovation.
After noticing a gap in the market
for a non-traditional hair salon that
focused on creating a personalised
beauty experience, Blow Bar is
Australia’s original blow dry bar
where women can come to get
a blow dry or makeup, with a
side of bubbles and a cheese
board to match.
‘I launched my very first salon when
I was 17, however I realised traditional
cuts and colours weren’t for me, so
took a break from the industry to
rediscover my passion which was the
styling and ‘feelgood’ elements of
beauty,’ shares Leigh.
Blow Bar Co provides a place for
women to connect, celebrate and
empower one another.
‘I’ve always thrived on human
connection and making people feel
and look good – whether it’s for a job
interview, formal, a wedding, or just
a weekday blowout – and as a
sanctuary for women, we strive to
deliver an affordable beauty offering
to all women,’ she adds.
With venues located in Bronte,
Balmain and Sydney CBD (David
Jones), it combines hair styling with
makeup and bubbles and sends
clients on their way with confidence.
