Denizli is on the way to be one
of the driving-forces of
Turkish exports

President of Denizli Exporters Association
(DENIB):
November export data was announced. Turkiye’s
exports increased by 5.2 percent to 23 billion dollars.
Denizli exports announced by TIM decreased
by 11.4 percent to 324 million dollars, while exports
recorded by Denizli Exporters’ Association
decreased by 6 percent to 255 million dollars.
When we evaluate Denizli exports on a sectoral
basis, we see that in November, textile-garment
exports decreased by 13 percent to 104 million
dollars, electrical-electronics exports increased by
2 percent to 67 million dollars, iron-non-ferrous
metals exports decreased by 12.4 percent to 40
million dollars, agricultural exports increased by
20 percent to 35 million dollars, and mining exports
increased by 6.5 percent to 21 million dollars.
When our exports by country are analyzed; Our
exports to the UK, which is in the leading position,
decreased by 14.4 percent to 41.5 million
dollars. Our exports to Germany, which followed,
decreased by 4.5 percent to 33.5 million dollars,
while our exports to the USA decreased by 25.3
percent to 24.5 million dollars. In the January-
November period, the total number of countries
exported from Denizli was 185. The increases in
exports to Tunisia, Ireland, Greece and Libya in
November drew attention.
More overseas programs, more
exports and more exporters in 2024
According to November manufacturing PMI data,
production, new orders, purchasing activities and
employment decreased more markedly in Turkiye
compared to the previous month. The headline
PMI, which was 48.4 in October, was measured as
47.2 in November. Thus, the manufacturing PMI
was below the threshold for the fifth time in a row.
Of course, this situation also affected Denizli’s exports
in 2023. Another one of the most important
factors in the change in exports is the base effect
of last year.
As Denizli Exporters Association, we are completing
2023 with nearly 20 overseas marketing programs
in order to keep our ties with buyers tight
for sustainable exports, which is our main goal.
In January 2024, we are preparing for Heimtextil
2024, which will be held in Frankfurt, Germany.
We will continue our efforts to increase our contribution
to the economy of our province and our
country, to make our exports sustainable, to reach
more buyers in international markets, and while
doing these, we will never compromise our understanding
of quality.
