Simms’ spring 2024 collection includes one standout item: the all-new Pursuit Shoe has
been specifically designed to deliver anglers performance advantages in a variety of fishing
scenarios.
Bozeman, Montana-based Simms
Fishing Products made its mark
on the tackle trade in the early
1990s with the introduction
of the very first waterproof/breathable
wader.
Since then, its commitment to
innovation and fishing focused, technical
gear has only intensified. Over the years,
footwear is another category Simms has
not only trailblazed but also managed to
leave a significant footprint in.
From building a variety of virtually
indestructible, award-winning wading
boots, to performance driven on-deck
footwear, to wet-wading footwear, to
beautifully simplistic flip-flops – Simms
has created footwear for all anglers and
all ecosystems.
In early January, Simms launched
its long-awaited spring 2024 product
collection. As consumers might expect,
this line is chock full of innovation and
performance driven gear but one standout
comes in the all-new Pursuit Shoe,
specifically designed to offer anglers
unmatched versatility.
DRIVEN BY PERFORMANCE
The goal of the Pursuit Shoe was to
build a piece of footwear that could

deliver anglers performative
advantages in a variety
of fishing scenarios and
ecosystems.
With a lowprofile
design and
constructed from an
ultra-breathable and
quick-drying mesh upper,
the Pursuit Shoe features a comfortable,
stretch-neoprene collar to keep debris
out.
To bolster durability, the shoe comes
equipped with TPU overlays in highabrasion
areas and also includes a quickadjust,
snag-free cord lacing system.
For traction, the Simms product team
sourced a super grippy micro-siped
rubber outsole that offers slip-resistance
on both wet and dry surfaces.
The end result is a shoe that’s equally
at home on the deck of any type of boat
as it is grabbing on to the craggy bottom
of a bonefish flat or the slippery rocks of
a Western trout stream.
Simms recognises the fact that anglers
by and large don’t just fish for one species
or in a singular environment. In saying
that, versatility was a key objective in the
initial design.
The end goal of the Pursuit was to
offer anglers a shoe that could pretty
much do it all. It’s a very lightweight
option that can cover off on the
majority of situations anglers might find
themselves in. It was designed to be
worn either next to the skin or, for longer
wading scenarios, with a thin liner sock
for extra protection.
Wading boots, flats booties (and
sneakers), wet-wading shoes/sandals and
burlier rubber boots will always have a
place in the quiver of multi-environment,
multi-season anglers but, for the lion’s
share of the season, the Pursuit Shoe
delivers comfort, performance and
versatility for a multitude of angling
situations.
