Frances Vorweg School is embarking on a fundraising campaign, reaching
out to the community for donations of sports bras designed spe-

cifically for special needs girl athletes. The initiative, known as the Sports Bra
Drive, aims to address the unique requirements of these athletes and ensure
their utmost comfort and support during physical activities. The Sports Bra
Drive for girl athletes is about more than just clothing; it’s about empowerment

Get into the groove of colourful or shaved heads and join Gold Reef
15 City’s Cansa Shavathon on March 15 and 16 in solidarity with cancer
survivors. Gold Reef City Casino, Theme Park and Hotel guests can support this
amazing initiative by shaving or spraying their hair, or just donating, R50 for
adults and R25 for children under 12 years. Members of the public can participate
in the event at the casino entrance on March 15 and at Theme Park Town
Square on March 16 from 10am to 5pm daily.

16 Door of Hope Village for a special celebration marking their 25th birthday

The Vaal Triangle is set to be thoroughly
shaken with Rocking The
Vaal on March 16 at the Emerald
Resort & Casino. Part of this event is
also giving back to the community.
With this charity event, the public is
encouraged to come together with
a potjiekos competition, where 250
pots will be made, and of course, the
crocheting of scarfs to be gifted to
the community. After previous successes
in breaking two world records,
this year aims for four new world
records: The longest hand-crocheted
shawl, the most bredies in one place,
breaking the most loaves of bread
in one place and to butter the most
loaves of bread in one place. Thousands
of people will also be fed for
charity. A highlight of the day’s programme
is the production that will be
presented in the evening with some
of the country’s biggest artists like Ruhan
du Toit, Refentse, Jo Black, Tarryn
Lamb, Riaan Benade, and Samantha
