Volunteer Corner from Becky MacDonald<br />
Volunteer Spotlight<br />
I would like to take the opportunity this<br />
month to acknowledge Jessie Watt, who has<br />
been hard at volunteering, connecting with<br />
other volunteers, listening, and capturing<br />
their volunteer experience.<br />
The Volunteer Spotlight column is located on<br />
a separate page and highlights the<br />
contributions made by volunteers. Thank<br />
you, Jessie for the wonderful write-ups you<br />
provide and thank you to each one of you<br />
every day.<br />

Orientation and Training<br />
All volunteers will be required to complete<br />
the mandatory Orientation & Training. The<br />
trainings can be completed from the comfort<br />
of your home <strong>online</strong>. For those who do not<br />
have access to a computer, training dates will<br />
be set up for you to attend in the near future.<br />
GWSA COMMITTEES<br />
lists from attendance sheets. We are looking<br />
for a person who loves to sit at the computer<br />
and input data and create lists. Another task<br />
we need done is creating fillable pdf forms.<br />
In this role, you will have flexibility and we<br />
are open to suggestions on how to be more<br />
digitally focused!<br />
Travel Committee<br />
Secretary/Minute taker: The committee is<br />
looking for someone who is interested in<br />
listening and capturing the discussions taking<br />
place, then compiling the notes and sending<br />
them out via email to the committee<br />
following the once-a-month meeting. Come<br />
join in, meet new friends, and have fun!<br />

the Evergreen Seniors Community Centre<br />
customer service desk.<br />
Second, you will be contacted to set up an<br />
interview followed with training.<br />
If you are a current volunteer, you are more<br />
than welcome to take on more than one<br />
position. Follow up with Becky for more<br />
details.<br />

Technology Committee<br />
If you are interested in volunteering remotely<br />
and enjoy working on the computer, the<br />
committee is looking for: An E-Blast<br />
Volunteer (30 minutes once a month) and a<br />
Website Volunteer (3-5 hours weekly).<br />
Administration Support Volunteer<br />
The GWSA administrative office is looking<br />
for assistance with creating email distribution<br />
