GLAMPING, IT’S SPREADING
Whilst in the UK the south has been the
heartland for glamping, it’s time for other
regions, particularly Ireland and northern
England, to take their turn in the spotlight.
Both have seen increased interest with a
slew of places springing up and Canopy &
Stars is on the hunt for more.
200m from where the Celtic Sea laps
at the shore of southernmost Ireland,

PETS NEED HOLIDAYS TOO
Holidaying with your dog has been growing in
popularity in recent years and the pandemic
puppy boom means a third of all UK households
have a dog. Dog holidays now make up nearly
20% of Canopy & Stars’ bookings. What about
the cats though? Our bookings team have had
an influx of cat enquiries this year too, as cat
lovers want to take their beloved pets away.
Several Canopy & Stars places are rising to the
demand and welcoming cats on breaks too.
Lark at A Place in the Pines in Yorkshire is one
place that has welcomed feline guests in 2023.
This sleek Scandi-style cabin provides a cosy
escape for a couple (maybe the kids) and their
cat. The showstopper is the outdoor bathing
deck – two handsome brass tubs set undercover,
perfect for a long soak while gazing out at the

With a whole collection dedicated to dogfriendly
glamping there are lots of options to
choose from, one that stands out is Woodland
Cabin at Mill Valley in Cornwall. Charming,
rustic, off grid and with dog friends thrown in.
Over an acre of secured land, for off-lead walks,
and the Cornish coast with magical woodland
walks, windy coastal paths and sweeping
beaches to explore. From £110 per night
