EASTERN IOWA FARMER
It’s a typical chilly day in early
November in Long Grove at Brockmann
Farms, the home of the fresh
Thanksgiving turkey. The sound
pouring out from inside the big
wind tunnel shed on the farm is reminiscent
of a rebellious teenager blaring rock
’n’ roll music from his room. But instead
of rock ’n’ roll music, it’s Christmas
music. And instead of a rebellious teen,
it’s 350 turkeys.
Perhaps the turkeys enjoy the music.
Or, perhaps they don’t. If you ask them,
the responses would probably all be gobbledegook.
