This is a personal favourite, the music composed by Martin Lewis<br />

This meditation enables unification <strong>of</strong> your Higher Self with the<br />

human personality. In other words, it helps you to connect to<br />

Universal Love and prevents interference by 'dark energy'. It also<br />

works on relaxing the 'hypothalamic fight or flight emotions'<br />

which are related to fear and rage: anxiety, depression,<br />

helplessness, being exposed, inferiority, bitterness, complaining,<br />

demanding, envy, resentment, intolerance, hatred, jealousy,<br />

gossiping, sarcasm, unforgiving...<br />

A bit <strong>of</strong> biology background...<br />

<strong>The</strong> hypothalamus is the headquarters which communicates with<br />

the rest <strong>of</strong> the body through the autonomic nervous system,<br />

which controls involuntary body functions - breathing, heartbeat<br />

etc. You have the sympathetic nervous system and the<br />

parasympathetic nervous system within the autonomic nervous<br />

system. <strong>The</strong> sympathetic nervous system triggers the fight or<br />

flight response and the parasympathetic nervous system is the<br />

opposite, promoting 'rest and digest' calming the body down<br />

when the danger is over.<br />

It is so important to have a restorative sleep at night - to reduce<br />

the 'emergency state' you are in, bring you back in to balance and<br />

allow you to be your best.<br />
