Marvin Messing
This class welcomes the beginner, novice and “wannabe”
artist! Practice your skills in a relaxed setting where you will
gain self-confidence in your drawing ability. Be recognized
as an individual with unique skills and talents. Originality
is more important than conformity. Receive individualized
instruction and guidance in developing a personal style of
expression. Each class will start with a lecture, demonstration
and critique of work from the preceding week. Spend the
remainder of your class drawing with one-on-one tutelage
from your instructor.

Create and share beautiful pages for your photo albums using
your computer and digital photos.

NEW! Basic Photographic Techniques (6 weeks)
Dave Clough
Create photographic art instead of snapshots. Learn to
understand and apply the essential elements required to
capture quality photographs using either digital or film.
Course will cover film characteristics, methods to adjust
exposure, depth of field, the Zone System, light meters, how
to meter a scene, characteristics of digital cameras, basic rules
of composition, filters and starting a portfolio.

Introduction to Outdoor & Nature Photography
Nick Fucci (5 weeks; 6 sessions)
Learn the secrets of successful outdoor and nature
photography. Exposure, light,
composition, field techniques and
digital workflow are a few of the
topics that will be covered. The
class will cover both wildlife and
landscape photography but the
lessons learned can be applied to any
photographic endeavor. The class is equally suited for both
the film and digital shooter, amateur or aspiring professional.
Course includes five classroom sessions and one Saturday
field trip.

Intermediate Outdoor Photography Workshop (2 days)

Advance your photography skills to the next level. Learn
to shoot under field conditions. This class will expand on
methods and techniques discussed in the introductory course.
This class is limited to six people. Prerequisite: Introduction
to Outdoor and Nature Photography class or instructor's
approval. Instructor will contact you about the time to meet
and group will travel in a college vehicle. Included in the cost
listed is a $25 fee for transportation. Bring a sack lunch.
