CALL FOR ENTRIES “LOGO CONTEST”<br />

The <strong>Tybee</strong> Arts Association, a 501©(3) tax<br />

exempt organization, seeks submissions for<br />

an association “LOGO”.<br />

DEADLINE for Submission:<br />

Postmarked no Later than September 30, 2006<br />

Responders must submit using<br />

<strong>the</strong> following criteria:<br />

1. The logo should be sized to fit a 12"x 12" foam<br />

core or heavy poster board backing.<br />

2. The image should be submitted mounted on a<br />

12"x12" foam core or heavy poster board.<br />

3. Submissions may be hand drawn or computer<br />

created.<br />

4. If created on computer, please submit a JPG<br />

burned on CD with at least a resolution of 300.<br />

O<strong>the</strong>r Items to keep in mind:<br />

1. Logo must translate from color to black and white<br />

if needed.<br />

2. Logo will be used on media as small as business<br />

cards and letterhead to as large as a billboard.<br />

3. The Logo should incorporate all, or as many of,<br />

<strong>the</strong> association’s purposes as noted:<br />

<strong>Tybee</strong> <strong>Breeze</strong><br />

The association was established to develop and<br />

sustain interest, appreciation, enjoyment of <strong>the</strong> Arts<br />

in Chatham County, Georgia, including but not<br />

limited to two and three dimensional visual arts,<br />

music, drama, dance, design, architecture, film,<br />

creative play and culinary arts.<br />

Selection Process & Awards:<br />

Received submissions will be reviewed and judged<br />

by a selection panel appointed by <strong>the</strong> President of<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Tybee</strong> Arts Association. The Recommendations<br />

of this panel will be presented to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Tybee</strong> Arts<br />

Association Board for acceptance at <strong>the</strong> regularly<br />

scheduled Board Meeting on Tuesday, October 9,<br />

2006. If <strong>the</strong>re is a winner, it will be announced on<br />

Saturday, October 21, 2006 during <strong>the</strong> 10 th Festival<br />

of <strong>the</strong> Arts to be held at <strong>the</strong> Pavilion. The winner will<br />

be notified as to time and place.<br />

The creator of <strong>the</strong> preferred Logo<br />

submission will be contacted following that date and<br />

awarded <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

-Dinner at “George’s” of <strong>Tybee</strong><br />

1105 E. HWY 80<br />

<strong>Tybee</strong> Island, GA<br />

Valued at $100.00<br />

-Limousine Service for three (3) hours (to be<br />

coordinated between <strong>the</strong> winner and <strong>the</strong> Limousine<br />

service vendor)<br />

- Lodging for One (1) night at<br />

The Atlantis Inn<br />

<strong>Tybee</strong> Island, GA<br />

(To be coordinated between <strong>the</strong> winner and <strong>the</strong> Inn)<br />

- Two (2) Tickets and Back Stage passes for <strong>the</strong><br />

performance of choice presented by <strong>the</strong> <strong>Tybee</strong> Arts<br />

Performing Society (TAPS)<br />

Note that all submissions become <strong>the</strong> property of<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Tybee</strong> Arts Association upon receipt. The <strong>Tybee</strong><br />

Arts Association will solely own <strong>the</strong> selected logo<br />

and <strong>the</strong> creator of <strong>the</strong> submission relinquishes all<br />

future rights regarding <strong>the</strong> logo and its usage.<br />

If a responder would like to have his/her submission<br />

returned after <strong>the</strong> contest, please include a self<br />

addressed stamped envelope. The winner’s<br />

submission will NOT be returned.
