Commander<br />
On July 10th <strong>the</strong> officers for <strong>the</strong> American<br />
Legion Post 154 took <strong>the</strong>ir oath and<br />
were installed for <strong>the</strong> year 2006/07.<br />
There were in excess of a hundred<br />
people in attendance, including four<br />
of our city council members.<br />
If you missed it you missed<br />
a wonderful meal that was prep<strong>are</strong>d<br />
and served by <strong>the</strong> “Crew from <strong>the</strong><br />
Crab Shack.” The steamship round<br />
w a s<br />
c o o k e d<br />
perfect and <strong>the</strong><br />
deviled crab (<strong>the</strong><br />
Shack’s own<br />
recipe) was to die<br />

Auxiliary Unit #154<br />
On July 10th officers for <strong>the</strong><br />
2006/07 year were installed in a<br />
joint meeting with <strong>the</strong> post. Our<br />
installation officer was Past<br />
President, Beverly Myers, Unit<br />
# 36 from Thunderbolt. Officers<br />
were listed in <strong>the</strong> July edition of<br />
<strong>the</strong> <strong>Breeze</strong>. I would like to thank<br />
<strong>the</strong>se ladies for accepting <strong>the</strong> positions and I’m<br />
sure we will have a very successful year. If any of<br />
our readers have any ideas for worthwhile projects<br />
please free to let us know. We <strong>are</strong> always looking<br />
for ways to serve our community. We now have a<br />
committee in place to work on ideas for our youth<br />
on <strong>Tybee</strong>. Our next meeting will be held on August<br />
14th @ 6 p.m. Please come and join us.<br />
Line dance lessons <strong>are</strong> still going strong.<br />

raiser was<br />
announced.<br />
We will be<br />
raffling off a<br />
rebuilt<br />
electric golf<br />
cart, with<br />
lights, for<br />
$5.00 per ticket<br />
or five tickets for<br />
$20.00. Tickets will go<br />
on sale Monday, July 17th.<br />
Remember our canteen is open every day<br />
at 5 p.m. Bingo is every Friday night at 8 p.m., with<br />
<strong>the</strong> public welcome. Our next meeting will be<br />
August 14th at 6 p.m.<br />
