On July 10th the officers for the American
Legion Post 154 took their oath and
were installed for the year 2006/07.
There were in excess of a hundred
people in attendance, including four
of our city council members.
If you missed it you missed
a wonderful meal that was prepared
and served by the “Crew from the
Crab Shack.” The steamship round
w a s
c o o k e d
perfect and the
deviled crab (the
Shack’s own
recipe) was to die
for. (Thanks

Virginia and Justin.)
At this
Auxiliary Unit #154
On July 10th officers for the
2006/07 year were installed in a
joint meeting with the post. Our
installation officer was Past
President, Beverly Myers, Unit
# 36 from Thunderbolt. Officers
were listed in the July edition of
the Breeze. I would like to thank
these ladies for accepting the positions and I’m
sure we will have a very successful year. If any of
our readers have any ideas for worthwhile projects
please free to let us know. We are always looking
for ways to serve our community. We now have a
committee in place to work on ideas for our youth
on Tybee. Our next meeting will be held on August
14th @ 6 p.m. Please come and join us.
Line dance lessons are still going strong.

raiser was
announced.
We will be
raffling off a
rebuilt
electric golf
cart, with
lights, for
$5.00 per ticket
or five tickets for
$20.00. Tickets will go
on sale Monday, July 17th.
Remember our canteen is open every day
at 5 p.m. Bingo is every Friday night at 8 p.m., with
the public welcome. Our next meeting will be
August 14th at 6 p.m.
