First of all…thanks to everyone who helped look
for Ma Coota Enn Lee Ones. After being ripped
from the Marine Science Center, she was found in
the Marsh on the Spanish Hammock side. Her
injuries were similar to sea turtles that are hit by
boat propellers…however, this was no accident.
The police are addressing the injury and theft and,
with conviction of the arrested perpetrator, that
reward money that you donated so generously will
be paid to the crime busters. Dave Cahill, local
boat builder, volunteered to make the fiberglass
repairs to Ma Cootah, and she should be back on
tour this month. Thanks, Tybee!

This month we’ll unveil these turtles:
Jimmy Carter’s Lighthouse Turtle - “You look out for
me and I’ll look out for you”
This began as a turtle and our Tybee
Lighthouse…Now it’s the entire Tybee Light Station.
WOW! Even cars in the parking lot in front of the
white picket fence. This beauty will be housed on
the Lighthouse grounds behind its own little white
picket fence. Do go see…the miniatures are
