‘The Death <strong>an</strong>d Life of The Sh<strong>an</strong>kill’<br />

A collection of paintings chronicling the redevelopment <strong>an</strong>d<br />

ch<strong>an</strong>ging face of theGreater Sh<strong>an</strong>kill area from the 1980s to<br />

the present by award-winning artist Stephen Shaw. An<br />

import<strong>an</strong>t historical document, it also showcases Stephen’s<br />

skill as a painter in watercolour. A true ‘Labour of Love’<br />

bringing out the very best in his talent. A ‘forensic<br />

chronicler’ of Belfast – John Gray, Culture Northern Irel<strong>an</strong>d.<br />

‘Everyday Objects Tr<strong>an</strong>sformed by the<br />

Conflict’<br />

Curated by Healing Through Remembering,<br />

this exhibition is shared between two sites -<br />

St Mary’s, Falls Road, <strong>an</strong>d Spectrum Centre,<br />

Sh<strong>an</strong>kill Road (opening times: Mon 6th –<br />

Frid 10th, 8am – 6pm, open late on Tues<br />

until 9pm).<br />

M<strong>an</strong>y views <strong>an</strong>d experiences of our recent<br />

conflict, revealing stories <strong>an</strong>d interpretations<br />

of the past through a r<strong>an</strong>ge of lo<strong>an</strong>ed objects <strong>an</strong>d their<br />

accomp<strong>an</strong>ying labels, all written by those who own them.<br />
