Welcome to <strong>Féile</strong> 2012 – <strong>an</strong>d what a great<br />
line-up we have! Everything from street<br />
theatre, children’s events, parties in the<br />
Park, concerts, sports, discussions,<br />
debates, exhibitions, dramas <strong>an</strong>d readings<br />
in what is the largest community festival in<br />
Irel<strong>an</strong>d!<br />
Our concert space, a huge marquee, is in<br />
the heart of West Belfast, in the awardwinning<br />
Falls Park. I would like to th<strong>an</strong>k our<br />
local community; Belfast City Council for its<br />
on-going support for <strong>Féile</strong>, NITB, the Arts<br />
Council, Foras na Gaeilge, all our sponsors<br />
<strong>an</strong>d funders, especially Tennent’s, our<br />
friends in Cork LifeLong Learning Festival<br />
(with which we are twinned) <strong>an</strong>d our venue<br />
partners in Falls Park, Colaiste Feirste,<br />
Clonard Monastery, St Louise’s <strong>an</strong>d, of<br />
course, the staff of St Mary’s University<br />
College for allowing us to take over their<br />
college every August!<br />
So, enjoy yourselves <strong>an</strong>d the work we put<br />
into showcasing the West to the World!<br />
By the way, our work doesn’t end here!<br />
Already we are pl<strong>an</strong>ning for <strong>Féile</strong> 25 in 2013,<br />
our silver jubilee! So <strong>an</strong>y ideas or requests –<br />
get them in now!<br />

Tennent’s NI, which has a long<br />
history in West Belfast, is proud to<br />
be associated with <strong>Féile</strong> <strong>an</strong><br />
<strong>Phobail</strong> throughout its twentyfour<br />
year history during which it<br />
has showcased the talent of West<br />
Belfast, brought joy, fun <strong>an</strong>d pride<br />
to the local community, whilst<br />
building bridges across the city<br />
<strong>an</strong>d uniting a once divided people.<br />
So, congratulations to Kevin <strong>an</strong>d<br />
his staff <strong>an</strong>d to the entire<br />
community of Belfast who are the<br />
admiration of the world!<br />
We are thrilled, as always, that<br />
Tennent’s NI <strong>an</strong>d its br<strong>an</strong>ds will<br />
be at the heart of the festival’s<br />
