Westminster Hotel. This has a prime
location on the sea front. It is within
easy reach of the town’s main
attractions including the Pavilion
Theatre etc. All bedrooms have

• Caernarfon – a charming town
dominated by its castle. In the
afternoon we board the Welsh
Highland Railway and enjoy a
picturesque steam hauled journey

We join the Lake Bala Railway
• Portmeirion. This was inspired
by a visit to the Mediterranean by
Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. It was
the backdrop to the famous 1960s
TV series – ‘The Prisoner’. We
then travel on to the harbour town
of Porthmadog to catch the
Ffestiniog Railway to Blanau
