Alnwick Garden & Lindisfarne
Here is a great weekend that takes in
so much.
We start with a local departure and
travel to Alnwick Garden. There are
acres of fascinating plants, water
sculptures and the infamous poison
garden. As well there is one of the
world’s largest wooden tree houses.
After time to explore we take you to
our hotel where rooms have been
booked with private facilities for the
night. Dinner is included tonight.
Alnwick Garden
On day 2, after breakfast, we make
our way to Holy Island and
Lindisfarne. This is known as the
‘Jewel of the Northumberland Coast’
and is only accessible across a
causeway. We have to make sure
that we are back across on the
mainland by approximately 13.00
hours today. There are extensive
dune lands, sand and mud flats and
a Heritage Centre. The Benedictine
Priory was destroyed by Henry VIII.
After our visit we commence our
journey home arriving back later on.

Spalding Flower Carnival
& the North Norfolk Railway
Join us on this tour taking in the
world renowned Spalding Tulip
Carnival and a ride through glorious
scenery on the North Norfolk ‘Poppy
Line’.
We start with a local departure for
our journey directly to Spalding. We
take you to Springfield Gardens,
(entrance included) - a 25 acre site
full of tulips and other spring flowers.
Springfields is also home to a
massive outlet village with over 40
brand named stores. The highlight of
Spalding Flower Carnival
the day is the Tulip Carnival with
marching bands and spectacular
floats. Later on we take you to our
hotel where accommodation has
been reserved on a dinner, bed and
breakfast basis.
On day 2, after a leisurely breakfast,
we take you to glorious north Norfolk.
There will be time in the seaside
resort of Sheringham before we
board the ‘Poppy Line’ Railway
service to charming Holt. The trip
takes us through a delightful area of
outstanding natural beauty.
