Easter in the German Valleys

Visit one of Europe’s favourite
holiday regions – the breathtakingly
beautiful Rhine / Moselle Valleys.
Steeped in history there are winding
rivers, fairytale castles, miles of
vineyards and pretty riverside
villages.
We start with a departure by coach
for our journey to Germany. We will
stay in a carefully chosen, family run
hotel in the Rhine or Moselle Valley
area where you can be assured of a
warm welcome. All rooms have
private facilities. Accommodation
may be in the main building or
nearby annexes. Meals will be taken
in the main hotel building. Hotel
name to be notified with joining
instructions approximately one week
prior to departure.
During your stay we have included
this great excursion:
• A visit to Koblenz – one of the
oldest and most beautiful cities in
Germany. This is the point where
the Moselle flows into the Rhine.
You will have plenty of time to
browse through shops, explore
the romantic narrow streets, enjoy
a drink in one of the riverside
cafes or visit some of the cultural
monuments and historic buildings.
For stunning views of the city and
the surrounding areas, head for
the mighty Ehrenbreitstein
Fortress on the far bank
You can also join this great optional
excursion:
• A visit to Cochem & Bernkastel.
Cochem has narrow streets and
twisting alleys, half timbered
houses and ancient walls and
churches. The town is dominated
by the 1,000 year old Reichsburg
Castle. After time for lunch, (not
included), we head up river to
Bernkastel. To round things off
we have included a wine tasting
visit.

departure for our journey to the
