Note: While the amplifiers can be used with either platform/cable assembly, bandwidth is<br />

limited by the lowest bandwidth component. In addition, system calibration is required for all<br />

interconnected components to guarantee system performance. Typically, a customer<br />

purchases a single Platform/Cable Assembly that matches the Amplifier Module bandwidth<br />

rating.<br />

Modular Probe Components<br />

Platform/Cable Assembly<br />

This piece forms the foundation of the probe and provides an attachment for the probe<br />

amplifier to the oscilloscope. There are two different platform/cable assemblies available<br />

depending on whether you are connecting to <strong>LeCroy</strong>’s ProLink inputs (available since 2002 on<br />

<strong>LeCroy</strong>’s WaveMaster series of oscilloscopes, and now ubiquitous on any ≥4 GHz <strong>LeCroy</strong><br />

oscilloscope) or <strong>LeCroy</strong>’s 2.92mm inputs (currently used for 20 to 30 GHz inputs on <strong>LeCroy</strong>’s<br />

WaveMaster 8 Zi series of oscilloscopes).<br />
