resolved. In Brihad Aranyaka (II.v.14), the supreme state of <strong>Vishnu</strong>s‟s Being is<br />

described as, „yaonaodM savMa- ivajaanaait tM kona ivajaanaIyaat\ |‟.<br />

Upanishad :<br />

dUrmaoto ivarIto ivaYaUcaI AivaVa yaa ca ivaVoit &ata |<br />

ivaVaBaIiPsanaM naicakotsaM manyao na %vaa kamaa bahvaao|laaolaupnt || 4 ||<br />

Distinct and irreconcilable are these two, ignorance and what is spoken as<br />

Wisdom. Eager for Wisdom are you Nachiketa, for no attractions born of desires<br />

influenced you.<br />

AivaVayaamantro vat-maanaa: svayaM QaIra: piNDtM manyamaanaa: |<br />

dnd`myamaaNaa: piryaint maUZa AnQaonaOva naIyamaanaa yaqaanQaa: || 5 ||<br />

In the midst of ignorance, considering themselves to be wise and learned, the fools<br />

tread the crooked path, like the blind being lead by the blind.<br />

na saampraya: pìtBaait baalaM p`maaVntM ivaa kuSalaao|sya labQaa||Scayaao- &ata kuSalaanauivaYT: || 7 ||<br />

Incapable of being heard by many, and even when heard is not understood,<br />

wondrous is the speaker and skillful is the recipient ; wondrous is he who knows<br />

from the one who is skillful.<br />
