• DOUBLE TROUBLE<br />

Sept. 16 — A potluck dinner and<br />

guest speaker sponsored by the Plymouth-<strong>Canton</strong><br />

Mothers-of-Twins Club<br />

takes place at 6 p.m. at Nancy Hogg's<br />

house, 9283 Joy Rd., Plymouth. Bill Nichols<br />

will speak on Reyes Syndrome<br />

and will be accompanied by a physician<br />

from Oakwood Hospital who will<br />

answer any questions. All mothers of<br />

multiple births are welcome. Call 981-<br />

• DANCE CLASSES OFFERED<br />

Ballet and tap dance classes <strong>for</strong><br />

youngsters between 4 and 10 years of<br />

age are offered by the <strong>Canton</strong> Parks<br />

and Recreation Department beginning<br />

Oct 4 All classes are in the activity<br />

room, in the lower level of the administration<br />

building. Registration <strong>for</strong>ms<br />

are available through the parks and<br />

recreation department by calling 397-<br />

1000 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Cost<br />

is $8 <strong>for</strong> the year or $1.75 a month.<br />

• CHORUS NEEDS VOICES<br />

"The Good Evening Friends,"a<br />

repertory chorus, announces it has a<br />

limited number of openings <strong>for</strong> the upcoming<br />

season. This group rehearses in<br />

Plymouth and per<strong>for</strong>ms in the metro<br />

area throughout the year. Previous<br />

choral experience is required. For further<br />

• TODDLER STORYTIME<br />

Registration <strong>for</strong> toddler storytime<br />

takes place at 10 a.m. Sept. 20 at the<br />

<strong>Canton</strong> <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Library</strong>. Registration is<br />

in person only and parents can register<br />

only their child. Four toddler storytime<br />

sessions are slated <strong>for</strong> 10:30 a.m., 11:30<br />

a.m. and 1:31) p.m. starting Monday,<br />

Oct. 4. The sessions run through Oct.<br />

25.<br />

Each sessibn includes a half-hour<br />

program <strong>for</strong> a 2-year-old child who<br />

must be accompanied by an adult. The<br />

program will introduce the toddler to<br />

the library through stories, songs,<br />

fingerplays and a simple craft.<br />

PRESCH OOL STORYTIME<br />

The <strong>Canton</strong> <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Library</strong> will conduct<br />

a preschool storytime <strong>for</strong> 3-5-<br />

year-olds whc can sit attentively <strong>for</strong> 45<br />

minutes without parental attendance.<br />

The program will introduce the chil-<br />

dren to book* stories, puppets, finger-<br />

plays, music and will include a simple<br />

craft activity<br />

Registration begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 21<br />

in person only at the library. Five different<br />

class t mes are offered.<br />

• TODDLER STORY TIME<br />

The Dunnipg-Hough <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Library</strong><br />

will hold a Toddler Story Time <strong>for</strong> 2and<br />

3-year-olds and their mothes at<br />

10:15 a.m. evjery Tuesday from Sept. 28<br />

through Nov 2. Registration begins<br />

Sept. 21.<br />

Story Tirn^ <strong>for</strong> 5-year-olds will be at<br />

the library at 10:15 p.m. also. The story-time<br />

sessions are set <strong>for</strong> Wednesdays<br />

beginning Sept. 30 and running<br />

through Nov. 4. Registration begins<br />

Sept. 23 at 10 a.m.<br />

• CANTOry CLASSICS<br />

The <strong>Canton</strong> Classics film series will<br />

be shown at 1 p.m. Saturdays in the library<br />

meeting room. The series is open<br />

to the publi^ free of charge. It is offered<br />

by the Adult Series Department<br />
