And this is true because the present text—Entering the Middle Way—“enters<br />

into” its explanation of the true intent of <strong>The</strong> Root Text on Wisdom, through<br />

both the profound and far-reaching sides of the teaching by supplementing<br />

its presentation with material from other texts of the Collection on<br />

Reasoning, adding points such as the three qualities of an ordinary being.<br />

RNAM BSHAD DGONGS PA RAB GSAL LAS, RTZA SHES LAS ZAB MO'I<br />

MA BSTAN KYANG, ZHES GSUNGS PA'I PHYIR,<br />

Now suppose someone comes and makes the following claim:<br />

But isn’t it true that it’s not the case that <strong>The</strong> Root Text on Wisdom presents the far-reaching side of the teachings?<br />

Because isn’t it the case that <strong>The</strong> Treatise which Illuminates the True Thought itself says, “<strong>The</strong> Root Text on<br />

Wisdom does present the profound side of the teachings, but does not go further to elucidate the specific features<br />

of the greater way: the far-reaching side of the teachings.”$<br />

Moreover, the treatise called Ocean of Reasoning says the same thing.$<br />
