Sound <strong>Form</strong>at property<br />

Description<br />

Specifies the format in which the sound item will be stored in the database: either AU, AIFF, AIFF-C, or<br />

WAVE.<br />

When you use the READ_SOUND_FILE or WRITE_SOUND_FILE built-in subprograms to work with<br />

sound data read from—or written to—the filesystem, use the file_type parameter to control the sound<br />

format of the sound data being read or written.<br />
